WPML string is added before the slug

Hi there, I am using Custom Permalinks to change a custom theme category (/case-studies/ to /professions/) as my theme support couldn’t figure out why wordpress isn’t recognizing the theme custom slug option. And have no issues on it, works as perfect.
Problem is when I try to set a custom slug to a translated page, then which WPML string comes out in front (?lang=), breaking the page:
It shows as:
https://shiplife.org/?lang=pt-br/professions/photo-lab/When it should be:
https://shiplife.org/professions/photo-lab/?lang=pt-brThe page I need help with: [log in to see the link]
