WPML not compatible

There seems to be a compatibility issue between WPML and the plugin ‘WP No Base Permalink’. When the plugin is inactive, I can edit any page and post without problems, when active, there is issues to reload the site and save changes to the site. It doesn’t mean that it is not compatible, just that eventually some issues like this might happen.
The option ‘Disabled Category Base’ in Settings -> Permalinks -> WP No Base Permalink is causing the problem, just like in this errata:

The plugin author should consider joining the “Go-Global” program, where WMPL works with theme/plugin authors to solve compatibility issues between their themes/plugins and WPML.
