    Hi!

I have a weird one here. I have been noticing that the menu structures on one of my websites are being duplicated.

The website in question is running WPML with two languages. The menus appear to operate normally (in terms of anonymous users visiting) — but when you log in (as an administrator), the Appearance -> Menus have menus being “duplicated”. In reality they are not but the menus appear duplicated in the drop down menu used for selecting menus to edit.

Now, I thought this was a caching issue but if you disable and clear the cache (both caches), the issue doesn’t resolve. The issue corrects itself when the Super Page Cache plugin itself is disabled. I am not seeing anything in the error log being generated either.

See? Weird one. The WPML and Super Page Cache plugins have worked together for the last 18 months without a problem. This feels like a more recent change.

Let me know what other information you need to help me debug this.

    Hi @sbirley,
This is so wired. First of all for logged-in users pages are always bypassed from cache. So, this can never be a cache issue.

Moreover, this plugin doesn’t load any scripts to modify the page content which may cause this probelm. I think it might be due to some clickt with other plugins in your website. It’s hard to say which one exactly without manually disabling all of plugins and keeep only this plugin actiuve to see what might be the cause behind it. Also it might be the theme as well (which is rare), so maybe try with a default theme?

It’s best to run these tests on a staging enviroment.

I am going to do some tests this weekend. I will let you know what I find.
