WPML – list all pages in same sitemap including “External web pages”

  • Hi, I’m using “XML Sitemap & Google News” for its functionallity of allowing you to add custom web pages. I have a couple of questions about it:

    • I am using WPML and I notice there is a sitemap page per language. Is it possible to have all the pages in a single XML page?
    • I added some URLs in “External web pages”, but I see that the added pages appear in all the languages XML pages.

    Could you confirm this behavior or if there is an alternative solution to fix it?

    The solution could be to have a single page with all the URLs, or to enable the possibility of putting the list of pages in each language

  • Hi, I have not tested this behavior (currently no access to WPML) but what you could try is create your own sitemap file (name it for example external.xml) with all external pages, upload it to your site root and then add its URL in the External XML Sitemaps field on Settings > XML Sitemap…

    Please let me know if this works better ??

    Oh hang on… I now realize that the easiest fix should be this:

    Go to Settings > XML Sitemap and set the Server option to Plugin.
