• I’m having trouble with tags not displaying in other languages. More accurately, it seems as if some – not all tags display for some languages.. and for other languages not at all.. even though there are tags associated with posts..

Rickard, I was hoping you could take a look? I can send some credentials your way.. maybe to an email address? We would be extremely grateful if you could take even a quick look.

    Kind regards

I’ve tried debugging this issue many different ways to no avail. WPML support had no answers – they referred me to you Rickard.

Please let us know if you could take a look. Thanks!

There’s been some issues with WPML in the past but I’ve never been able to figure out what the cause is, since it has been working in my installation

I would be glad to take a look in your installation, please send credentials to rickard (a) 0x539.se

    Thanks

I’ve been able to figure out what the issue is now. The problem is with the setting for max number of terms to display and that the WPML integration kind of assumes that every term will be translated.

This is basically what the plugin does:

    1. Get the 45 most popular terms from the database
    2. Check which of those 45 are translated
    3. Display the result

If none of the 45 most used terms are translated into the current language, the result will be an empty cloud.

To fix this issue directly, just set the max number of tags to something really high, or set it to zero for unlimited.

I will fix this in the next version of UTCW. Thank you for your help with debugging this issue. You can remove my user account now.

Thank you very much Rickard! We’ve set it to a high number for now. We’ll keep an eye out for the next version.

This a great plugin! ?? I personally use it for every tag cloud need.

    Thank you again!

Has this been fixed in a recent release?
