Hi, I’ve installed the plugin and it seems to be incompatible with WPML. When WPML is activated, the marker position never is stored.

I mean, when I search for an address, the marker shows in the map, but when I hit publish button, the marker come back to default position.

If I deactivate WPML, it works.

A fix will be much appreciated!

    Hi Aitor,
Is that in Edit Location or Edit Event?

Hi, Patrick. Thank you for the quick answer!

I’ve checked and it happens only when edit events. So, meanwhile I can first create locations and, then, assign it to events.

Thanks! Then I know where to look for the error. I will get back to you ??

Would you help me out, please?

Could you change the settings to use the dropdown?
Events -> Settings -> General Options -> Location Settings -> Use dropdown for locations? = YES

I think I found the problem and if I am right, it has to do with the EM core files. The Ajax search (start typing and find an address) does not return the coordinates. So I will have to see how I can alter that.,

Of course! This is what I did:

    1) Set “Use dropdown for locations” to “yes”.

    2) Edit a random Event and check that I can see the dropdown (yes I can). Dropdown shows a list of locatons previously added. But I can’t create new locations from the Event editor.

    3) Remove old locations and create a new one.

    4) Create new event to asign it the new location, but the dropdown doesn’t show the new location (is empty).

Thank you for you time. Really, this is my first contact with EM and I’m about to leave it! I’m experienced a lot of problems with it.

Using the dropdown, prevents creation of new locations, so I did already expect that. ??

    To be clear:
I am NOT part of the EM Staff in any way. I am “just” a EM user for over 5 years now. I love the plugin, but you do need to know how it works. Once you get the hang of it, you will notice it is very versatile and you can accomplish just about anything with it. ??

    I think I nailed the problem…
I have completely changed the way coordinates are begin written to and retrieved from the database. I could only test it with a very, very old version of WPML, though.

Please download version 1.7.5 to test it. ??

Thank you for your response and efforts, Patrick. I know you are not part of EM staff, that is why I have allowed myself to make my last comment.

At this point I’ve decided to build my own infraestructure with CPTs, ACF and fullcalendar.io. I can feel more freedom to build views as I like, gutenberg and WPML compatible.

Anyway, I think you are making an awsome work with EM–OpenStreetMaps plugin.

    Thank you a lot ??

Thank you very much, Aitor. ??
You know, if you run into anything about Events Manager, I am always willing to help.
