• Hello,

It seems that I am unable to translate the plugin strings using WPML despite it being listed on their compatibility page. Even though the WPML settings are correct, the strings do not show in the backend up for translation.

I opened a ticket with WPML if you wish to see the exact details of my problem. The thread end with them saying they will attempt to contact you and that I should do the same, so here I am ??

I came across this post from your support page and wondered if it was ever resolved?

I think all my versions of everything are outlined in the WPML ticket (basically everything is up to date) and I can send you the credentials to a test site I uploaded if you want/need to poke around.

Thank-you for any help you can offer.

Thanks for reaching out. I was away on vacation, but replied back to the WPML folks via my phone about a week ago with a link to a copy of the plugin for their review.

They approved the plugin on their list a year ago, if I recall correctly, with the behavior that you experienced. Those particular lines are pulled from the database (saved/retrieved in the standard way for a widget) and I’m not familiar with how WPML worked to know how it translations elements saved like that.

They appeared to have revoked my developer account for WPML, so I’m unable to test it out.

If you hear anything back from them, please let me know and I’ll do likewise.

    Brandon,
Many thanks for the update. I have written to WPML support people to share this information… and presumably to get your dev licence reinstated (sheesh).
Let me know if/when you hear back.
    Cheers!

    Hi,

Checking to see if you’ve heard anything from WPML. I haven’t heard anything back yet.

Wow. I’m a little baffled because I wrote to them on the 25th to ask for an update and here is the response they sent me on the 28th:

    Dear Lucas,
This is just to inform you that our team is in contact with the author and genesis e-news is in our priority list.

I’m really not impressed by the very slow and questionable support at WPML

I was contacted by them on July 11th asking for where to find a current copy of the plugin. I sent a response (linking to the copy here) the same day, then sent a follow-up on the 17th to check-in since I hadn’t heard anything from them.

I’m reviewing all of the details you sent me via e-mail.

    Thanks for your effort here.
