    Hi schrodinger212,

Sorry that you ran into issues here!

What version of WPML and BD are you running? Also, what version of PHP? (If you’re not sure, we expose this under Directory Admin->Debug and you can report it here)

Definitely haven’t seen this before, so I wonder if it’s a conflict of PHP/WPML/BD at some level or something we broke. ??

    Let me know!

    Thanks for responding so fast!

    BD is Version 3.6.4
WPML is Version 3.1.9.7 (all the WPML plugins indicate they are the latest versions, but let me know if you need to know them all).
    PHP is 5.4.22

    Thanks!

Hmmm. Contact me here and let’s take the discussion offline so we can figure it out: https://businessdirectoryplugin.com/contact/

    Hi star.richa,

Sorry that you ran into issues here! If you’re having problems, you should contact us when you run into them–either on the forum or our contact page. We can’t fix what we don’t know about ??

Contact me on the link above and tell me what you’re doing and what isn’t working. Last we tested this for release in April, it was working. So we need to know what you’re doing that may be different here.

I initially contacted WPML thinking that there is some issue at their end –

    https://wpml.org/forums/topic/wpml-and-business-directory-compatibility-issues/

But after the last conversation with the WPML support I was certain that WPML is not a problem –
PHP Notice: Undefined index: en in …/wp-content/plugins/business-directory-plugin/core/compatibility/class-wpml-compat.php on line 127
PHP Catchable fatal error: Object of class WP_Error could not be converted to string in …/wp-content/plugins/business-directory-plugin/core/compatibility/class-wpml-compat.php on line 89

After this, I did contact the Business directory support forum-
https://businessdirectoryplugin.com/support-forum/support-questions/browsing-the-directory-categories-leads-to-error/#p20951 but did not get satisfactory response.

Just today I was browsing into the wordpress support page of your plugin I came across this post, So I now know there are others too coping with the similar issue. I really appreciate your effort in building this plugin but was really sad at the same time for not getting attention at the first instance. I hope you can help me fix the issue.

    Hi star.richa,

Thanks for following up and I’m sorry that we didn’t get you help on this sooner.

Looking at the thread you posted above, you never replied to my support guy from what he asked you to do–so if it was unsatisfactory, there was no way for us to know about that unless you say something. In the future, please respond to our replies and let us know what you find from our suggestions. It’s the best and fastest way to get help.

As for this particular issue, we have found the cause of it now that I’m aware of this particular PHP error. Turns out it was a WPML problem–they changed their API and didn’t notify anyone about it. When they did that, it broke our plugin which expected a certain response from their calls.

It’s patched in our current dev version, releasing tomorrow. Contact us here to get it: https://businessdirectoryplugin.com/contact/ sooner if you wish.

Thanks for addressing this issue and I’m happy that the problem has been identified. I will wait for the plugin release as per your mentioned schedule.
