    Hi,

We have implemented your plugin on our website and enabled Facebook Messenger.
We use WPML to take care of our website translation.

When switching between the languages using the front-end language selector of WPML, the Facebook Messenger does not pick up the other translations.

Manually switching the language from one language to another works when using the settings of the ‘Facebook for WooCommerce’-plugin, but then all the languages show the same one language.
I.e. switching from English to Spanish using the back-end settings of the plugin works, but then all 4 languages display the messenger in the front-end in Spanish.

I imagine more people dealt with this already, since translation is one of the most important aspects of a web store. Anyone dealt with this so far?

Your time and insights are much appreciated.

  • Hi @cognatusdev!

Thanks for reaching out to us here, happy to help out. ??

There is an option added to the WPML settings that allows you to select the visibility for the languages when syncing. You may need to re-select the languages or languages you’d like to sync and show in Facebook, and then click save. This should save the setting to the database which will take effect once a new sync is performed (about once an hour, presently).

You can find the setting at WPML > Languages > Facebook Visibility.

Would you please let me know if that helps out at all?

    Thanks so much!

    Julie ??
