WPML – banner keeps showing

    Hi,
    I’ve got WPML installed on my website. Languages are set as subdirectories (/pl, /de). Baner is randomly showing on PL, DE, or the main page. Multiple cookies are stored e.g. cmplz_consented_services with different paths (/ and /pl). I suppose it could be the issue. If I delete the cookie for subpath /pl it’s not showing anymore.

    Can you help solve the problem?

    Hi @norwid,

    It could be due to caching & optimization, could you attempt to clear/purge the cache of any such tools that are enabled on the website?

    And after doing so, check the behavior of the site in a new Incognito/Private browsing window to see if that resolved the issue.

    If it doesn’t, could you provide an URL to your site so we can take a look? That would allow us to investigate further as well.

    Thanks for your reply. After further investigation, I’ve noticed that the cookie path is set to subdirectory. So when the user lands on the main page in the main language it’s working. When the user lands on the main page in other languages, accepts consents, and then switches to the main language it’s not working as I expect it to.

    I have used ‘cmplz_cookie_path’ filter to return /.
