WPML and subscribers

  • I want to use email subscribers with wpml. My site has 6 languages set with WPML, which means for every post made, a user will get 6 email notifications, this is like spam and I want to avoid it.

    Ideally I want subscribers to send an email only on the language the user has set, so if a user set his language to French, he’ll only get notifications of Posts in French and disregard the translations.

    If that’s not possible, or way too complicated, then I want everyone to get only the original post and not any of the translations.

    From WPML support they told me you’ve dealt with similar situations in the past and you can help.

    Sorry for the inconvenience.

    We will take a look into this and will make Email Subscribers compatible with WPML.

    I’m confused, from WPML support they told me that it is already compatible in some way, or at least that people use Email Subscribers combined with WPML successfully.
