Hi, tried to post in your forum but didnt work.

Your plugin doesn’t work at all with WPML as much as some members of your team say it does.

Focus keyphrase is not recognized inside the post (Used like 7 times and perfectly recognised by Yoast).
Doesn’t detect the ALT tag with the focus keyphrase in the featured image and asks to upload an image that includes it.

Why do you guys say this plugin works perfectly with WPML in your forum when WPML doesn’t even have you listed inside their compatible plugins + there is no package from WPML for your plugin (as there is for Yoast).

I was invited to migrate from Yoast to your plugin after reading how wonderfull it was and is not even compatible with the number 1 plugin for multilingual sites.

I’m not even gonna mention the horrible interface on the right column and the readability suggestion (which are a complete joke sorry, power words, numbers in the title).

Asks to create a table of contents and it won’t even detect the fact that I’m using the “easy table of contents” plugin, probably the most downloaded ever plugin for that?

The post where I tested is a default Gutenmberg blocks post that Yoast perfectly recognises.

Please don’t state things work without even trying them, WPML doesn’t work at all with your plugin and sorry, great marketig effort with all those posts and influencers talking nicely about your plugin and I really wanted to like it but sorry is a nice beta product but no wonder why Yoast is and will remain to be the best SEO plugin.

    Regards

    Hello @manuxx34

Thanks a lot for your query, and we are so sorry about the trouble this must have caused.

If you allow us to help you, we would love to do that.

We will try my best to answer all your queries and hopefully, clear your concerns about Rank Math.

First and foremost, Rank Math works perfectly fine with the new Block Editor and the Classic Editor. We wouldn’t have 200K+ installs if the plugin didn’t even work on either of them, let alone both. If it isn’t working for you, there must be something else causing the problem, and we would be more than willing to help you.

Here’s a screencast of Rank Math perfectly detecting changes in the Block Editor almost in real-time: https://i.rankmath.com/f6KIH5

Rank Math and WPML work great together. They list Yoast and not Rank Math because we are in talks with them about listing us as well.

Rank Math adds the translated pages to sitemaps correctly:
    https://i.rankmath.com/OHCb1n
(BTW, do note the subdomain – it is on WPML’s website)

hreflang tag is added to the translated pages correctly:
    https://i.rankmath.com/mYYUhY

Focus keyphrase is not recognized inside the post

For now, we only detect the exact match of the focus keyword while as Yoast detects variations as well. This is something we are working on improving, though.

Doesn’t detect the ALT tag with the focus keyphrase in the featured image

We do not check for the alt text in the featured image because 99% (read: almost all the themes) of the themes do not print the featured image on the post itself. So, most of the time, the featured image with the alt text is not shown on the post you are trying to rank for the focus keyword you are using.

I’m not even gonna mention the horrible interface on the right column and the readability suggestion (which are a complete joke sorry, power words, numbers in the title).

We have never heard any complaints about the interface. In fact, that is what many users state as one of the top reasons for switching to us. Power Words and numbers in titles are not irrelevant for SEO. Both these help increase your CTR (social media is proof), and as you might know – CTR is a ranking factor on Google. Better than usual, CTR for a #2 rank would help it get to #1 spot – all things being equal.

Asks to create a table of contents, and it won’t even detect the fact that I’m using the “easy table of contents” plugin, probably the most downloaded ever plugin for that?

The author of Ease Table of Contents is going to release an update that will let us “detect” it. He has already added it to the release candidate. You can check the plugin author’s post here: https://support.rankmath.com/ticket/table-of-contents-not-recognized/?view=all#post-31554

Also, all the tests in the plugin are backed by either a case-study or research. You can read more about them here:
    https://rankmath.com/kb/score-100-in-tests/

But please stay advised that these tests are just guidelines, and one does not need to follow them religiously.

At the end of the day, the content needs to be written for the readers and not for the search engines.

Scoring higher points in Rank Math’s tests won’t guarantee higher rankings.

Hope that helps, and please do not hesitate to let us know if you need our assistance with anything else.

Thanks for detailed reply but when I was talking about the focus keyphrase I mean that it was used 7 times (the exact focus keyphrase) and your plugin didn’t detect it once.
Well to be fair, it detected it in the meta description only, not in the post content itself.

Sadly I’m back on Yoast and to be honest, not willing to play with fire again.
Maybe the reason was cause I was using the Gutenmberg editor instead of WPML editor or whatever, nothing really strange in my setup, oceanwp template, WPML with 2 languages and your plugin.
Data migrated from Yoast and set up correctly and it says 0 instances in default Gutenmberg.

About the featured image I get what you mean but I think is a mistake on your side to see it that way. If the featured image is using the ALT tag then there is an image with the ALT tag using the focus keyphrase, actually is the only place where we set it and I know others do the same.

A different story is if the user decides to show it or not via template settings.

I’m pretty sure your plugin has amazing features and things but interface, geez sorry but no way. What takes me 1 minute in Yoast takes me 10 in your plugin. The meta description and SEO title box is a good example. Why a new window for that, sorry but is not user friendly as I see it.

    Regards

PD: You have 200K+ installs cause your marketing team is amazing. You payed influencers or gave discounts to promote your software, totally legit but please let’s not act as if everyone in this forum ignores that.

    Hello @manuxx34

If you could share the URL of the post, we could try to reproduce the error on our end.

The Block Editor works fine with the Rank Math plugin so, it could be a conflict with something but your installation configuration seems simple and not conflicting in nature (as tested locally).

For the featured, we would like to correct ourselves. We are able to detect the focus keyword correctly. Here’s a screencast showing the same:
    https://i.rankmath.com/rBZ5uL

If someone wants the old layout of the SEO Mets box, they can add the following filter so the Metabox shows below the post content:
    https://rankmath.com/kb/filters-hooks-api-developer/#disable-gutenberg-sidebar

We hope to see you trying us again in the future and really sad to see you leave.

We are always here to assist if any problem arises and are more than willing to resolve any issues asap.

Good luck with your future endeavors.

    Hello @manuxx34

Since you edited the post and we did not notice the P.S. part. We never paid anyone to promote us. Since we do not have any paid version, yet, offering a discount is not an option.

The best marketing for us is our product as our users are liking it a lot and doing word of mouth marketing and there’s no need for us to pay anyone.
