• Hi,

I have my website https://www.oxynergy.com which is using wpml for translation. I can see the sitemap in each of the languages with using the subfolders, example: /es/sitemapindex.html . BUT there is a problem, as the spanish version of my site does not have blog, but the default language (english) does, the sitemap in spanish includes the blog pages into the spanish pages, which delivers to a 404 page. Google webmaster tools throws an alert on this.

Would you please explain to me how could I avoid this, in case I′m doing something wrong?

    Thanks

    Hello,

Multi-lang plugins are not fully supported yet, here’s a ticket about improving it: https://github.com/OddOneOut/bwp-google-xml-sitemaps/issues/16

The error thrown by Google can be ignored safely IMO. Will let you know when there’s any update.

    Hi,

I understand this, but do you know when are this going to be available? I really want to use your plugin, but if it is not going to be language compatible, there is no use for me…

By the way.. do you know what is weird?? it generates the sitemap of the whole website fine, except the product sitemap, which in the english version, it includes the spanish URL, but with wrong format, as well as the english version. Let me put an example:

    sitemap english –> https://www.xxx.com/shop/product1/ CORRECT
    https://www.xxx.com/tienda/product1/ WRONG

The real url which should not even be included in the english version would be https://www.xxx.com/es/tienda/product1

    Any suggestions?

Well… I have to say, I just find the perfect plugin for xml multilanguage package, so I stoped using yours… sorry about it, I guess I will not comment here the name of the plugin, for respect of yours… But this other plugin is wpml compatible, and works just great.

    Thanks any way.
    Kind regards
