Been using WPML on several single sites (reinstalled them a zillion times) with different themes and plugins for some years now and must say, that with every iteration it becomes better and better (and that is even without using the latest AI addition). Right now I use it for my Wall Art Design website and it works like a charm! Yes, there’s an awful lot you can tinker with, but it is very well laid out and explained in the document section. You should really take some time to figure things out (like I eventually did ;)) and then there’s absolutely no need for any other translation plugin out there. WPML is also very scalable to accommodate future growth of your website. So for me it ticks each and every box and I’m not going to part ways with it any time soon! (using it on a Dutch/English website for now, but plan to add other languages in the near future).
