wp.me short links not working

  • Hi all,

    We have a guy who’s been working with our backend and created a copy of our site to work on… however, when he did this something went wrong and all of our previously created wp.me short links are pointing to his dummy url and a 403 page.

    Does anyone know how to fix this issue and have the wp.me short links directing traffic to the correct pages?

    Those shortlinks are a feature of Jetpack, so I recommend contacting Jetpack support about this via https://jetpack.com/contact-support/

    @james,

    We’ve submitted a ticket to them… we’re also having site stats issues through jetpack and lost all of our stat history.

    Do you have any suggestions on the details to ask them if we get to talk specifics with them?

    Nope, just mention that both the stats were lost and shortlinks stopped working, sounds like your site just “forgot” its ID and assigned itself a new one. It’s an easy fix for them.
