    Hi,

I am very impressed by the way this plugins performs migrations!
However it seems to not work that well to migrate multilanguale website with WPLM plugin?

Id did the migration, but seemed to mix the prior database tables and kept the plugins from the previous site?

So far, it overrides the old database and removes tables or plugins that no longer belong to the new imported site, but as soon as WPLM is involved it seems a bit confused?

I tried importing it on my localhost ( using serverpress ) and id did create an english folder but menu’s are messed up and content was not imported to my localhost.

Is All in one migration plugin not compatible with wplm and local deployment or am I missing something here?

    Thanks,
    Annie

    Hi Annie,

    Thank you for reaching out.
Yes, our plugin will overwrite everything on your destination site during import.

For the issue with WPML plugin, I have 2-3 users reporting the missing pages problem and the engineer found that it is a common problem with WPML plugin.
If you deactivate it, all pages will be back.
You may check out https://wpml.org/forums/topic/pages-disappear-after-activating-wpml, https://wpml.org/https://wpml.org/forums/topic/posts-and-pages-disappeared/forums/topic/posts-and-pages-disappeared/ and https://wpml.org/forums/topic/posts-and-pages-disappeared/ for more references.

    Hi,

    Thanks for your respons.

I notice and know the plugin overwrites everything, but what I noticed is that it leaves old plugins.

    For example:
I use a test site that already has pages and plugins etc to import another site into with All in one WP migration.

After importing a new site into this already existing site, everything is overwritten, but plugins that where installed in the old site are still there, although they were not imported if you know what I mean?

I suppose it is better practice to only import into a clean fresh WordPress install and not into another one that already had content and plugins of its own?

    Thanks,
    Annie

Interesting about the WPLM issue. I will do another test and deactivate WPLM to see if it restores its pages.

I will let you know if that solved the issue!

    Thanks,

    Hi Annie,

By overwriting, I mean only the existing files on your new sites that also exist in the .wpress archive (from the exported site) will be overwritten.
The plugin will just copy everything from site A (12345) to site B (678923).
After import, the new site (site B) will become 123456789 not 12345, while only 23 are overwritten.

I am sorry if my “overwrite everything” in my first reply sounds unclear to you. ??

    Best,
    Pim

    Hi Pim,

Thanks I understand what you mean now. Normally one would use a clean wp install anyway, so no plugins will be left over.

I am really impressed how easy and quick this process runs!

    Hi Pim,

I finally got the time to test this WPLM site again.

After importing it with all in one migration, all pages where gone, although the menu is showing in the site, all items give a page not found and if I look in both languages there are no created pages.

I deactivated an re-activate the WPLM plugins, but the issue was not resolved.

    Thanks,
    Annie

By the way as soon and as long as I deactivate WPLM, all pages in both languages are back and visible in the admin dashboard.

    Hi Annie,

I hope you are doing well.
Thank you so much for the update.
We have actually added WPML to the list of incompatible plugins – https://help.servmask.com/knowledgebase/incompatible-plugins/.

    Hi Pim,

Oh, that’s too bad, is there no way to work with WPLM programe to get it compatible? https://wpml.org/documentation/theme-compatibility/go-global-program/

I was looking at the list at https://help.servmask.com/knowledgebase/incompatible-plugins/.

I tested and migrated succesfully sites with Wordfence and page builders and All in one WP migration, yet it says it is not compatible?

In my experience they play well together ( wordfence and page builder in this case the visual composer pagebuilder ) was used in testing in sites not using WPLM they did not give me any trouble while migrating with your plugin, so wonder why they would say they are not compatible?

    Thanks,
    Annie

    Hi Annie,

By “Incompatible”, we actually mean for our users to deactivate those plugins before export/import, since some of our users get stuck on export/import, experience problem connecting to their Cloud storage account and etc while the plugins are activated.
