It’s warning you that WordPress will take no notice of it. Setting it to your desired language will do nothing.

    Hi Tim,

    Thanks for your quick reply.

So I have to add the code snippit to avoid the warning?

I can’t make use of LOCO Translate at this moment, since it detects no languages.

No. that code snippet is already in the plugin.

Just remove the definition from your config to avoid the warning, and make sure you set your language via WordPress settings.

    “.. it detects no languages”

Languages only show up in WordPress admin settings when you have core language packs installed. This is not something that Loco is involved with. Do you have core language packs installed?

The language is set to ”Nederlands” (Dutch). I will backup WordPress and remove the string from .config

I will let you know if it worked out.

Once again thanks for your quick replies.

    Dear Tim,

I have exact the same problem. I’m working with storefront a theme of woo commerce, I created a child theme to be sure. Now, after installing the loco plug in I get the same warning. “Warning: WPLANG is deprecated and should be removed from wp-config.php”

My language packages are installed and set on dutch, but still the translation doesn’t show up. As I am a newbie could you please tell me step by step what to do?

    Thanks!

I’ve already explained the WPLANG notice above, but it may not be the reason for your problem. Your translations may not show up for many other reasons. Chances are Loco isn’t compatible with your storefront theme.
