    Hello!

I’m using WPForms premium for anonymous users to create posts for my site (using Post Submission addon), the thing is, I want all of their posts automatically saved into a fixed category instead of having them to select using drop box (I have A LOT of post categories and i just want users’ posts to go into one), how can I do this?

    thanks!

    Hi vezraimanuel,

I see that you submitted a ticket to our support team a little bit ago, and we’ve replied there.

In case it helps others who find this message, currently we don’t have the feature to have submitted posts automatically saved into a fixed category. We’ve made a note of the feature request for our team’s future review.

For now a workaround might be to manually assign the categories to the user submitted post. To do this, you can remove the Categories dropdown field in the form.

If you’d like this to be done automatically, you can change the default post category of your site. To do this, go to the WordPress admin sidebar to go to Settings > Writing. In that Writing Settings page, you can select a Default Post Category. This will apply to the submitted posts as well.

    I hope this helps!

If you have further questions about paid features of WPForms, please contact us by submitting a support ticket. This is because the www.remarpro.com rules do not allow support for paid features of WPForms on the support forum for WPForms Lite.

    Thanks ??

    Hi @ethanchoi

Yes we’ve discussed there. As I mentioned I cannot use default category since it’s already used for other purpose. Your colleague already replied that this matter will be added in future release, which I think will be useful for many.

Looking forward for the updates ??

    thank you!
