    Yo,

Currently I am using this plugin for a simple contact form. To my knowledge I have followed tutorial and have had this working in the past. Something is wrong with notification email and I am at somewhat of a loss on what to check now.

I am using the WP Mail SMTP, which I assume you guys support. The test email works fine from that location (using google).

I turned on the debug-events menu, but I can’t see any requests that I assume I would see from the Forms plugin.. Only test email requests.

Any help or leads or more debugging would be appreciated.

  • Hi @w0x2a,

Thanks for reaching out to us.

Generally when the WP Mail SMTP plugin is used and test emails are successful but other emails are not, we’ve found that the “Other Mailer” option has been configured with the site’s host email server settings.

Such a configuration does not provide any benefits of the SMTP plugin. Instead, please set up a SMTP service to be paired with the SMTP plugin. You can find more information about this here: https://wpforms.com/docs/how-to-fix-wordpress-contact-form-not-sending-email-with-smtp/

If this wasn’t the case, please provide some more details about your configuration, such as Notification settings and Mailer that you’re using.

    Please let us know ??

    Thanks.

Do you mean the “Other STMP” option within WP Mail SMTP? I am not using that. I am using Google / Gmail.

As far as the Form goes…

I have name as ID 0, email as ID 1.

    Notifications:

Send To Email Address: {field_id=”1″},[email protected]
    From Email: [email protected]
    Reply-To-Email Address: {field_id=”1″}

    Confirmations: default confirmation

    Hey @w0x2a,

I apologize for the delay in getting back to your support request.

Since this issue revolves more around the WP Mail SMTP plugin with Gmail mailer, when you have some time, I would suggest you create a ticket on the WP Mail SMTP forum, you can give reference to this ticket. I’ll give an alert to the team so they’ll be on the lookout for your ticket.

In the meantime, if you have any WPForms lite-related questions, please feel free to reach out.

    Kindly,

Will do if I have any more trouble. I ended up fixing it by switching the option to custom then back to Gmail.

    Thanks.

Hey @w0x2a – Happy to hear that you’ve fixed the issue. If you have any other question, please feel free to reachout ??

    Kindly,
