I use G Suite for my WordPress/StudioPress Wellness Pro Theme blog’s default email. It
(G Suite) is sending and receiving emails as would be expected.

I set up WP Forms for my blog’s “Contact Us” page. When I fill out the form and click “Submit” I get the expected automated response. However, no email arrives in my inbox. It is not in the Spam folder either.

I have installed the WP Mail SMTP plugin and completed the detailed instructions for “How to Securely Send WordPress Emails Using Gmail SMTP with WP Mail SMTP”

Under >settings>WP Mail SMTP>Email Test, I fill in the recipient email address and click send Email. It says the email was sent successfully, and I do indeed receive the email at the location where I sent it.

However, when filling out the WP Form on the Contact Us page I am still receiving nothing in my inbox.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • Hi,

I’ve had the same issue — not receiving wp form notifications emails for my testimonials. I see your options to resolve it above and I will download the SMTP plugin.

However, I want to know how I can recover the emails that were sent through the form but not received by email. I have the WP lite free version.

    Thanks!

    Hi @kermitt,

WPForms Lite does not store entries in any way beyond sending out the email. However, some hosting providers do log emails that are sent out from the sites they host. So if you need to try and recover undelivered emails, the best next step in trying to find records of previous entries is to contact your site’s hosting provider to ask if they do this.

And if you’ve any other questions about WPForms Lite, please feel free to create a new post in our support forum.

    Thanks!

    Hi @rksegg,

Sorry to hear that. To troubleshoot the issue, you can check your form notification settings against our tutorial.

If your notification settings are correct, the issue is likely due to incorrect server setting or strict email spam prevention settings.

To fix this, you can configure a SMTP plugin on your site to send emails as authenticated.

For more details, please see our guide which includes a list of recommended SMTP options and links to their setup tutorials.

    I hope this helps ??

I really like this plugin and the ease of set up but when I completed making a form, it wouldn’t send. I’m assuming that it will work with WP native environment and I do not have to use G Suite if I chose not ot. Currently using CF7 and works great as installed but not a good form style.

    Hi @rgwcustom,

Sorry to hear that you’re having issues with email delivery.

To troubleshoot the issue, you can check your form notification settings using our tutorial.

If your notification settings are correct, the issue is likely due to server configuration issues, and/or strict email spam prevention settings that are wrongly detecting the notification emails as spam.

To resolve email delivery issues like this, you can configure a SMTP plugin on your site so that emails are sent as authenticated. We have an article with a list of recommended SMTP options and links to their setup tutorials.

    I hope this helps ??

I’ve been using this plugin for months, recently hasn’t been sending emails from our site form to any email. The SMTP plugin email test will send to alternate emails but not our primary email. Haven’t seen anything come through even as spam. Our site just switched servers if that would have an effect on its function?

    Hi @birkenstockmidtown,

When you get the chance, could you check if there are any error messages logged when you send a test email from within your SMTP plugin to your primary email?

If there are error messages, please share it on the support forum for the specific SMTP plugin. For WP Mail SMTP, you can post the error message and your help request here.

    Thanks!

New site via A2 hosting. (is a sub domain)
Simple Contact Form not sending emails. Checked the WPForms>Form>Edit>Settings>Notifications
    ON
Send To and From are correct (same)

Setup EASY WP SMTP – it sends test emails correctly.
Tried another SMTP Plug In – nothing

Reset admin email (Manually as it would not send confirm email) Nothing

    What a PITA.

    Hi @kfdp,

When you get the chance, could you check the if From Email in WPForms is the same as the From Email in Easy WP SMTP?

If that does not resolve the issue, please create a new post.

    Thanks!

I’m using the SMTP settings with Siteground and the test email works fine. But when I submit my form, nothing is being sent, even though I receive a success message.

The ‘From Email’ is the same that’s used in the SMTP settings. Im also sending to {admin_email},[email protected] (my personal) for testing. But not getting to either email address.

Please advise if I’m missing something simple. This should not be that difficult.

    Thanks in advance,
    Kevin

    Hi @kevykev003,

When you get the chance, could you create a new post with the screenshot of your SMTP plugin settings, as well as the form notification settings?

    Thanks!

    Hi,
I appear to be having issues with WPForms on my Contact page (https://www.ansareditingandconsulting.co.uk/contact/). I noticed recently that, sometimes, when visitors used the contact form I would only receive a notification in my personal Hotmail account and not in my business 123-Reg account. So, I decided to send a test email using my website’s contact form and found that indeed emails were only arriving in my Hotmail account and not my 123-reg account. Is anybody able to advise on how I can fix this issue? Many thanks in advance.

    Hey @nalmufachi,

It sounds like your notification settings may be correct, but you may want to confirm that by following our tutorial.

If your notification settings are correct, the issue is likely due to spam prevention settings in the email service provider incorrectly flagging the notification emails as spam.

In that case, we’d recommend that you configure a SMTP plugin on your site so that emails are sent as authenticated. When you get the chance, please see our article with a list of recommended SMTP options and links to their setup tutorials.

And if you’d like more help with using WPForms Lite, please create a new post.

    Thanks!

    Hi @juanalfonso,

I’m sorry to hear that you’re not receiving the notification emails!

To troubleshoot the issue, you can start with checking your form notification settings. We have a detailed guide on how to set up form notifications.

If your notification settings are correct, there could be server issues and/or strict email spam prevention settings that block the notification emails as spam.

To fix issues like this, you can configure a SMTP plugin on your site so that emails are sent as authenticated. Please see our guide for a list of recommended SMTP options and links to their setup tutorials.

While we do not store user submissions on our end for privacy reasons, some hosting providers do log emails that are sent out from the sites they host. So if you need to try and recover undelivered emails, the best next step in trying to find records of previous entries is to contact your site’s hosting provider to ask if they do this.

And if you’d like more help with using WPForms Lite, please feel welcome to post in our WPForms Lite support forum.

    Thanks!
