    Hey everyone,

I’m using wpform for a form on my site and I need a hand. I want to make sure the address someone enters is accurate before the form is sent. If it’s not, I want to show an error. But if it’s all good, the form should go through like normal.

Right now, I’ve got a dropdown list of addresses from Google API, but it doesn’t check the address if someone decides not to use the suggestions/autocomplete. Is there any way to make sure they pick from the dropdown list or to validate the address?

I saw Google has an Address Validation API (https://developers.google.com/maps/documentation/address-validation/overview), but it seems a bit over my head with my limited programming skills. I’m not even sure if it can work with wpform and wordpress. Anyone know a simpler way to do this or to force the user to choose the address from the dropdown list? Appreciate any help!

    Thanks,

    Ann

    Hi @annbj,

    Thanks for reaching out!

To integrate WPForms with the Google Places API, you will need the Geolocation addon, available with our Pro license level or higher.

In case you’d like details about this addon, could you please drop us a line through our contact page when you get the chance? I apologize that we’re not able to respond to paid version questions here in the www.remarpro.com support forums for the free version, but I really appreciate your help!

Or, in case you’d like to look into custom development options to integrate WPForms with Google API as you described, we highly recommend using Seahawk.

    Thanks!

We haven’t heard back from you in a few days, so I’m going to go ahead and close this thread for now. But if you’d like us to assist further, please feel welcome to continue the conversation.

    Thanks!
