    Hello there.

Thank you for reaching out to us.

If the column you’re going to filter has “Text” filtering enabled, you can access the column settings/Filtering tab and in the “Predefined filtering value” enter %VAR1%. The %VAR1% placeholder in the “Placeholders” tab above the table would remain empty, though, so the table is not filtered by default.

Then, in the shortcode, you would be able to use [wpdatatable id=1 var1=’Kinder’].

    Hope that helps!

    Hi!

    thanks for your fast reply!

The fieldtype is a multi select box, because we need this in the filter. So we’re not able to set a predefined %VAR1% value here.

There are also only 3 variables %VAR1%, %VAR2% and %VAR3% we could use, but we have more columns we’d need to filter via shortcode, so this solution wouldn’t work as well.

Do you have any other idea for this?

Btw. I forgot to mention that we really love your plugin. If you need a use-case from Germany on your website, let me know ??

    Hi again.

Sorry for the late response. Thank you very much for your support! We would definitely have use of a showcase site!

Unfortunately, something like this is not easily doable. The pre-filtering per URL for multiselectbox filters needs to have values separated by a pipe ( | ) and if you were to construct a shortcode where you’d add all 3 VARs, it wouldn’t work.

Also, we’re sorry that we have to redirect you, but placeholders are not a part of wpDataTables lite, and commercial products (the full version of wpDataTables) are not supported in these forums, as per this comment by www.remarpro.com moderators.

We’ll have to ask you to open a ticket on our official support platform, and we’ll gladly help you there. You can also share your site there, so we can send it to our developers for the showcase!

    Thanks in advance!
