• Hope someone can help me on this.

I am not very technically very savvy. I realized I had many files I may not need on my server so I am going over them. I found I had many files that have the same naming convention:

    accountname_wpdb-year-month-date.sql

I know that wbdb files are important, but do I need all of them? The largest one was dated in 2019. Do I need to keep all of them? Sorry for the dumb question!

  • Wordpress as software does not create or generate files of this form. They must be generated either by a plugin you use or your hosting. Therefore, nothing more specific can be said about this.

Do you have any backukp plugins installed?

Yes, I used to have a backup plugin which I later deleted because my hosting service backups data on a regular basis. So looks like they were created by my old backup plugin? If so it’s probably okay to delete them.

Thank you for the info. I had no idea!

    Probably.
