    Hi there,

I don’t want to use the text I added in the Phrases section anymore as I now have 2 languages on the site. I’ve updated the .po files to reflect that but they don’t seem to be used when I switch languages in the front end.
It only seems to use the content of the phrases section.

What can I do to use the localisation files?

    Thanks
    Rafika

    Hi rafkika,
This is not .po file issue. We’ll work on this in future releases.

    Thanks for the reply.
Does this mean there’s no way to translate the messages at the moment?
Any idea on when this might be updated?

    Thank you ??

I’m sorry but there isn’t any way yet.
We’re planning to make the wpDiscuz Phrase Manager better to allow users add new language translation and use it with according language. But it’ be available next moth. We’re not planning to add it very soon.
Also please let us know how are you managing two languages on the same site? Do you use WPML?

Ah ok. If you remember, please tell me when it’s available ??

    I use Qtranslate

Hi, I am also interested in the support for multi-languages. Currently my blog supports Arabic and English per post.
English is the default, but I use WP “Custom Fields” to add a metadata to indicate that the post is in arabic, so in my child-theme i check for that field and use it to change text direction RTL or LTR and the language of messages.

I am only interested in translating the front end, by my backend (dashboard) is in english. And i would love to find an easy way to do it with your plugin.

wpDiscuz 2.2.4 allows to turn off phrase manager and use .po translation files according to your current language. As far as I know WPML change .po file automatically. Can’t say for Qtranslate and other plugins.
However the another issue is that wpDiscuz doesn’t have all languages. If you want you can translate it and create .po/.mo files.

Hello. How can i translate new comment “edit” text after comment adding, with wpml?
