I want to install a comment plugin so that I can enable plugins on pages as well as posts. I also want people to have multiple options for ways to log in (using their Google credentials or social media platforms). I can see that wpDiscuz has great reviews, but when I install it, I can’t get it to appear on pages, which seems to be a theme issue. Is there any way in the standard Bento theme with Jetpack to enable comments on page templates?

    Dear Amy,

in order to allow comments on a specific page, you can tick the “Allow comments” checkbox in the “Discussion” section, while in the page edit view.

Hi, thanks for responding. Unfortunately, I don’t have a discussion section in page edit mode. I have Yoast SEO, comments (which are for comments from one admin to another), revision history, and page header settings, but no discussion section.

I have looked in the Discussion tab under Settings in WordPress, but there doesn’t seem to be a solution there either. Is there something I have to tick to get the discussion section to appear in page edit mode?

Please try opening the “Screen Options” tab in the top right corner while in the page edit view and tick the “Discussion” item there – this should make the respective settings box appear.

Ah, thank you! This has worked.
