WP.com to WP.org

  • I have moved my site from WP.com to WP.org and when I google my site the old WP.com site appears and not the new updated WP.org site. Have I missed something? I have been adding pages etc to the .org site and seeing it fine within the .org site (visit site).

  • It can take a short while before Google has a chance to re-index your site. Have you tried to submit your new site’s URL to Google?

    As well, you can select in your WordPress.com site (settings) to not let it be included in search engines and to keep it private.
