I came over from WP.com blog and istalled my own stand alone blog for more control.

I loved the stats on the WP.com and am wondering if a plugin for that style of stat page is around? I have done an exasted search but to no avail.

Currently I have Firestats installed. It’s OK, but I like the breakdown of WP.com stats better.

Anyone lead me in the right direction?

    Thanks!!!

  • Try this it actually is wordpress.com stats. You use an api key that you probably already have since you have a wp.com account. The instructions are simple.

    Thanks!!!!

I installed the WordPress.com Stats plugin Jeremy mentioned on my self-hosted WordPress blog, but it doesn’t work!

I put in my API key and have waited 48 hours and the stats show ZERO for everything. Yet, people have been reading, commenting and subscribing to my blog over the last 48 hours. If it were working, they shouldn’t be able to do that without leaving a trace in the WP Stats. Anyone know how to make it work?

Some hosts don’t allow your web server to initate connections only respond to connection requests which is what a web server should do. Just ask your host if they allow your web server to connect to another server.

I figured out my problem. I had removed the <?php wp_footer(); ?> call from my theme.
