I’m getting this error for both Event listing and booking import

[WPBM Error] Could not download URL

    How do I fix this?
When i go to the ics-feed url it downloads the ics file automatically in browser but it seems the plugin cannot do thee same.

    Hello.
    1) Firstly please recheck that you have inserted your .ics URL feed correctly. There must no any white spaces at the beginning or end of URL, and recheck URL.

    2) May be there some security plugins at your server, or some other restriction at the server, that block access to download this feed.

    3) Please try to deactivate one by one all your active plugins at the WordPress > Plugins menu and make testing after each plugin deactivation.
If its not help, please deactivate all your plugins and active the default WordPress theme. And then retest it again.

    4) Please recheck your error.log in your server configuration, about any relative errors. If you can not find error.log file, please contact support of your hosting company about helping in finding this file.

    Kind Regards.

    Hi,

Thank you for the fast response!

    1) rechecked the url. Not solved
    2) disabled all plugin and set to default theme. Not solved
    3) Checked all error logs and there are no errors.

Might it be because the url that is provided to me ends with parameters instead of ‘.ics’?

    Hello.
Usually such type of url is not the problem.
Please recheck with support of your hosting, may be your server configuration is block downloading external such external files/feeds ?
    Kind Regards.

    Hi,

But the import does work manually when I go to Bookings > Settings > Sync > Import
That tells me it’s not the server config issue you suggest because then it wouldn’t work there as well.

It’s when I go to oPlugins Panel > Manage .ics
and I insert the URL and press ‘Show Events’

It doesn’t work there or in the shortcode.

    Hello.
So please recheck shortcode configuration in your page.

Note! Please be careful in configuration of Booking Calendar shortcode with quote symbols. Do not use non standard opening or closing quot symbols. Only standard quote symbols.
The best way to type them from keyboard, and not copy/paste.

    Ok found the issue!

There was an ampersand in the url and it got replaced by & in the shortcode.

    Thnx for the quick support!
