WPBlacklist seems to be blocking everything

  • I’ve installed WPBlacklist 2.6 on a friend’s wordpress install, but it seems to be holding every comment for review and not letting anything through.
    Any suggestions?

  • I don’t use that, but have you checked for blank lines or whitespace ?

    I ended up messing with the setting enough times and it seems to have straightened itself out.

    It probably was caused either by a blank line (which problem is hopefully fixed in the latest release – WPBlacklist 2.6.1) or because somebody tested the comments blacklisting harvesting and had their own IP added to the blacklist. These are the most two common cases :p

    Export the blacklist and view the local file — check for your IP address, email, etc.
    You can also do this via the “search” feature.
    I did a test — it blocked the comment, and added my email to the database. @@$#*$&@#&*&!!!!!

    cant we just a have plugin like an option for loose and exact words?
