• I installed wpblacklist, following the directions exactly. And suddenly all the posts are gone (posts, not comments) and I get this error message:

    Database error: [Got error 28 from table handler]
    SELECT DISTINCT * FROM wp_posts WHERE 1=1 AND post_date_gmt <= ‘2004-12-30 21:24:59’ AND (post_status = “publish”) GROUP BY wp_posts.ID ORDER BY post_date DESC LIMIT 20

    I deactivated the plugin and that did nothing, so I removed it completely. But I still have the problem. Please help!

  • Error 28:
    This is a MySQL error and has nothing to do with WordPress directly. You should probably contact your host about it. Some users have reported that running a a€?repair tablea€? command in phpMyAdmin fixed the problem.

    If it has nothing to do with WordPress, why did it happen when I installed the plugin?

    Error 28 really is nothing whatsoever to do with WP – honest.

    The one that’s giving the error says blacklist. Clearly I caused it by installing the plugin. I’m confused now.

    The Error28 and how to handle it has been around before Blacklist happened along.

    Email your host with all the details and tell them to fix it, but it is a system error that has not been caused by WP.

    Okay, I’ve been reading the error 28 threads and better understand it now. Thanks. And since I’m not using anywhere near all my space, I guess it’s on my host’s end. I’ve e-mailed them.
