    Hi Jordy,
I use WPBakery Builder and Single image element. My media sizes are set to 359px for a thumbnail, so I added an image with width 718 px so the retina file can be generated.

However, on this particular image, my desired width is 220px, so I changed it in Single image element to show the image with a given resolution 220×43 px. It shows fine but it doesn’t show the retina version.

In the code, it doesn’t use data-srcset but data-src without 1x and 2x URLs.

How can I display retina images on custom-sized single images in WP Bakery builder, please?

    Best regards,
    Jan

    Hi Jan,

The plugin only works with registered sizes (which are part of the metadata). In fact, I don’t really recommend you to work with sizes which are not registered, that will create a lot of files which are not referenced.

You could simply use a size that exists already, and nothing stops you from resizing the image through HTML/CSS a bit ??
