• I use a full-site editing theme. While in the editor, I added a couple of HTML blocks in my footer. After saving, and only if I go back to the editor, I think wpautop adds paragraph and line break tags throughout my HTML code. Or, something is adding these tags. I assume it’s wpautop, and I assume by default HTML blocks are supposed to be ignored.

This could be a plugin conflict, but I love all of the plugins I am using and therefore even if it is a plugin conflict I would have trouble saying goodbye to the one conflicting.

Having said that, I wonder what function I could add that would force wpautop to ignore all HTML blocks, but only HTML blocks. Because I want default WordPress functionality elsewhere.

And/or, if anyone has any other thoughts or ideas that would be appreciated.

FYI: This does not happen with regular posts and pages. Only the full site editor.
