Wpadminbar Menu pupup with notifications in custom theme header

Hello,
My multi user theme has actually no visual notifications (alerts) in its header and no such function at all so now i’m about to implement the one from the admin bar (top right admin bar menu) into my themes header, or at least parts of it (for example.
I try to avoid as much trial and error as possible so has anyone done this before? or is this even managable with a simpple shortcode?
Or can this be also simply achieved with WP’s menu builder?Many thanks in advance
