    Hi

Today client’s website went down several times. So I deactivated all plugins then activated plugin one by one from A to Z. Once I activated Yoast, I saw spike CPU usage in MySQL process, and it was very difficult to access the web.

    So I run this query

    mysqladmin -u root -pxxxxxxx -i 1 processlist

    This is the result

After deactivated Yoast plugin, the CPU usage decreased drastically. So I am pretty sure Yoast had caused the websites offline several times.

I run LEMP stack on DigitalOcean VPS with 1 CPU 2GB RAM and only put 1 website in there

My question, is it possible to disable that query? If so, how to do that?

@hardinal We’re sorry to hear you are experiencing this issue on your site.

Can you please confirm you are using the most recent version of Yoast SEO, version 15.9? You can learn more about updating here: https://yoast.com/help/how-can-i-update-my-free-plugin/

Also, can you confirm you are using WordPress 5.6.2? You can check by clicking on the W in the top left and selecting About. If you need to update, please check with your host provider. Please know that if you are using an older version of WordPress Core you may experience unexpected behavior with Yoast. This guide explains more: https://yoast.com/why-we-dont-support-old-wordpress-versions/

If you have already confirmed that both Yoast SEO and WordPress are up to date, we would next recommend to try the following to resolve this:

      1. Install & activate the?Yoast Test Helper plugin
      2. Go to Tools -> Yoast Test
      3. Hit the “Reset Indexables & Migrations” button
      4. Under SEO → Tools, click the “Start SEO Data Optimization” button.
