After running a back up last Tuesday, I got the error messages

Background updates ensure that WordPress can update automatically when a security update is released for the version that is in use at that time.

    Error
A plugin has prevented updates by disabling wp_version_check().

The scheduled event, wp_privacy_delete_old_export_files, could not be executed. Your site is still working, but this may indicate that scheduling posts or automated updates is not working as planned.

The REST API is a way for WordPress and other applications to communicate with the server. An example is the Block Editor screen, which is based on displaying and saving your posts and pages.
Calling the REST-API had the following unexpected result: (403)
    Forbidden
You do not have permission to access this document.

Loopback requests are used to execute scheduled events and are also used by the built-in theme and plugin editors to check the stability of the code.
The loopback request returned an unexpected http status code, 403, it was not possible to determine if this prevented functions from working as expected.

I also got this message by email that the error has occured on the following site.

    https://blog.edition-ruedt.ch/wp-admin/admin-ajax.php

    Error Details:
Fehlermeldung: require_once(): Failed opening required ‘/var/www/vhosts/edition-ruedt.ch/blog.edition-ruedt.ch/wp-content/plugins/backupwordpress/vendor/composer/autoload_real.php’ (include_path=’.:/opt/plesk/php/7.0/share/pear’)

Despite deleting the plugin, the error still occurs.
