wp_schedule_event twicedaily question

Hi,

I’m trying to set up a recurring cron action within WordPress. Things seem to be working just fine when I use wp_schedule_event to set it to hourly but that’s more often than I really want the to run. I’m trying to get it to run twicedaily, but when I change “hourly” to “twicedaily” it doesn’t appear to be working.

I could use some info on when exactly the process will run if set to twicedaily (or daily for that matter).

Is it supposed to run at specific times of day? Or should it get triggered right away then run every 12 hours? Does anyone know how this works?
