• I decided to upgrade my blog to WP 2.9- i had an older version, I’m not sure which, I think 2.7 or 2.6…

I’ve followed instructions step by step to update my blog. All well but… now the site is down showing the following message:

Fatal error: Class ‘WP_Query’ not found in D:\home\profetadk\www\blog\wp-settings.php on line 646

I have had blog for many years but I’m not programmer, so I have no idea what it means. Should I have a file on my root called WP_Query?

    PLEASE, PLEASE help, anyone?

    Cheers!

    /Suz

  • Try re-uploading the wp-admin and wp-includes folders via FTP from a fresh download of WordPress 2.9.

    Thanks!

Now I’ve ensured that all files were copied properly on the server. I’m experiencing some trouble with my connection so some of the files were only partly copied. Now my blog is up and running again.

    Cheers!
