Hello fam, please I urgently need your kind assistance. I have been working on updating my blog Whatsup Deals Blog lately and shortly after dropping a few tables from my database with the help of WP DB Manager plugin, I was asked to repair and optimize my database which I did. A new page opens showing the result of the activity and this error wp_options: Table ‘whatsupc_wp678.wp_options’ doesn’t exist. I have tried to find a way around fixing this issue but to no avail. I strongly believe that you can help with a guide on how to restore the missing wp_options table.

Thanks in anticipation of your response.

  • Did this table come from a plugin?

If you have phpMySql access, you can recreate the table, but I have no idea what fields should be populated with.

Also, do you have a back up of your database? You should always backup your database before you do any repairs or optimization.

Please use PHPMYADMIN from your hosting control panel. Does that table exist in the database? If so, repair it. If not, you’ll need to restore from a backup.

Thanks for the swift reply @kjodle and @steve. I have restored the database from my softaculous backup. I’m super excited that my blog is back!
