wp_options table very big

Hi,i run wp from 4 years. I have about 14.500 posts and about 1000 categories.
The problem is that in the databse the wp_options is now taking about 80mb.
Some months ago, i cleaned it.
Today i tried to use the clean option plugin. Before cleaning i was having about 20000 entries, now only 720, but this process taked more space in the db (about 1%).
Some months ago i haved and solved the problem.
Now i don’t know what to do.
I would not reinstall wp:-(
