    Hello,
My site began acting a little wonky yesterday, not accepting changes in header image, and not showing other changes.

Later, I tried to login and got the message that “one or more database tables are unavailable. The database may need to be repaired.”

When I repaired, I got the message “wp_options: Table is marked as crashed” and was told to post it in the forums to see if anyone could help.
    Thanks

  • First:

    – switch to the default theme automatically by renaming your current theme’s folder inside wp-content/themes and adding “-old” to the end of the folder name using FTP or whatever file management application your host provides.

reset the plugins folder by FTP.

Then run a repair on that database table. Try asking your hosts for assistance in accessing a database management tool that you can use to run the repair.

I was already running 2014, do I still need to switch to the default theme?

Well, I did what you suggested with regard to the plugins (I had already run a repair on the database and was already on 2014) and that seemed to do the trick. Thank you!
