wp_memory_limit why and when

  • Hi i’d love to know more about wp_memory_limit.

    why and when is it really needed? how can i check what’s my actual limit?

    i tried to add define( 'WP_MEMORY_LIMIT', '96M' ); to my wp-config.php but i think that it didn’t change anything.

  • proceed to install tpc-memory-usage or similar memory tracking plugin and then try doing changes in wp-config file. if changes made in wp-config arent reflected in plugin stats then most probably your host dont allow changing memory limit for wordpress.
