    Hi,

    Is it possible to let Blog2Social post the [shortlink] of the website? I am using very long categories and post titles, so it would be great to post just the ../p=123 to facebook and twitter. I only found bit.ly ect. in the settings, but I am not using them. I of course can change the link in every network by hand before posting it to social, but it would be great if b2s can display the right link right from the start.

    Hello,

    Thanks for reaching out.

    Of course, Blog2Social can post a short-link of your website automatically.
    Besides Bitly, Blog2Social is compatible with Rebrandly and Sniply. You also can select those link-shorteners in the settings of Blog2Social.

    How do I activate / deactivate the link-shortener?

    Please let me know if you have further questions.

    Thank you for your reply.
    I indeed saw the Rebrandly and Sniply settings right by the bit.ly settings. But what I would like is to use the wordpress-own [shortlink] link like https://www.domain.com/?p=123.

    Is this possible?

    Hello,

    Thanks for your feedback.

    You can edit the structure of your links in your WordPress settings.
    WordPress -> Settings -> Permalinks

    I attached a screenshot for you.

    Hi,
    thank you for your reply. It is not quite what I want. Changing the permalinks will change the URL shown in the browser bar as well. I need to keep my URL as it is. Only when I share the content on twitter ect. I need a shorter URL.
    With other PlugIns I can use the wordpress funktion

    “wp_get_shortlink()”

    It will show the short https://www.domain.com/p=123 form of the URL. But I cannot find any way to let blog2social use that function.
    I could edit the blog2social PHP files if it is necessary. But since I did not write this plugIn, I do not know where or what to change.

    Hello,

    Thank you for your feedback.

    If you do not want to change the permalinks in WordPress, please be so kind as to use a link-shortener which can be activated in the Blog2Social settings.

    The following guides show you exactly:
    How to use the URL Shortener Sniply and add CTA snips to your short links

    How to use the URL Shortener Rebrandly for your Social Media Strategy

    Please let me know if you have any other questions.

    Thank you for your replay.
    As you can see in my first post, I did see that I can use link-shortener like bit.ly. But as I also wrote, I do use my own which is connected to the wordpress function

    “wp_get_shortlink()”

    I need a workaround for blog2social to make it use that. Is there no way to do so?

    Best regards
