WP_DEBUG error

    In my development site I have WP_DEBUG turned on. This error is new with WordPress version 4.4. I’m using Magazine Basic v. 3.0.6.

    Notice: The called constructor method for WP_Widget is deprecated since version 4.3.0! Use

    __construct()

    instead.

    The error goes away if I switch to a different theme.
