WP4.4 / SSL certificate problem: unable to get local issuer certificate

Thanks for posting this, fixed it up for us.

No worries. I probably should have posted it a few days ago, but I only saw a report for eWAY yesterday, and a second one just a few minutes ago. I had told eWAY, but I don’t think they understood that it affects the server initiating the transaction request.

I have followed the instructions above but its still not working for me. Is there any other workarounds that you would suggest?

@kasbolt are you getting the exact error message in the first comment in this thread?

Did you download this .crt bundle and replace in your WordPress wp-includes/certificates folder?
