WP4.0: Within Posts/Pages LINKS are not working

  • All of this was working before I did the Upgrade… Add Media, Categories, Tags, Edit (to edit permalink), actually none of the buttons are working now that were prior to my upgrading.

    I’ve reset, upgraded plugins…. I use the “Virtue” theme.

    I’m on a deadline.

  • This is probably caused by a conflict with one of your plugins, or possibly your theme.

    Can you please disable all your plugins, refresh your browser and see if the admin functions normally for you?

    If not, please leave the plugins off and post a link to your site.

    Before I do that, will have to start over, remember what I had, and reset all those plugin settings??

    You can check the support pages of whatever plugins you have activated to find out. Most will retain info if you deactivate and activate again without deleting.

    Sorry, didn’t see your last question. I am using VIRTUE.

    It’s probably not your theme. Try disabling all your plugins and post a link to your site.

    I disabled them, nothing corrected. Also, it is not my ability to post a link. It is the panel within my post or page. If I create a Post/Page… I want to add “category,” clicking the link Add Category does not work. Selecting ADD MEDIA above the editor to insert an image, does not take me to the gallery, nothing happens.
    Clicking ADD TAB, does nothing. If I change the title of a post, the “EDIT” to edit the permalink url does not work. Edit will not open the edit box. Those are the buttons/links that does not work anymore.

    Switch your theme to twentyfourteen and try again. Make sure to refresh your browser.

    Hello,

    I switched to 2014, refreshed, went to an existing post to see if I could ADD MEDIA or ADD A CATEGORY, still the same response, nothing. I changed it back to my VIRTUE Theme. Thank you.

    Okay, I finally figured out that it is a plugin that disables the links,
    Comprehensive Google Map Plugin… This was the last one I disabled, the problem resolved. I re-activated it, and the problem returned.
    Now to figure out if I need that plug in.
