WP3.5 add media working on Posts but not on pages

    I have read many posts now about this issue but still can”t get it running.

    I have disabled ALL plugins, cleared all caches, and added define CONCATENATE etc to my config.php file.

    I have now also tried changing themes – still with no luck.

    Everything works well with Posts, and I get all the pop-outs working well, but can not get the Add media button to work with Pages.

    I am working around this at the moment by compiling everything in a post, then copying and pasting into a page, but this is clunky and will soon get tiring.

    Is there anything else I can try in the short-term, apart from tearing out my hair and opening another bottle of red?

  • I am having the exact same problem. I have tried different themes, disabling (and even deleting) all plugins. Pages won’t allow me to add Media, Posts will.

    I manage dozens of WordPress sites for clients and this is only happening to one of them. I have yet to track down the missing link (or variable in this case.)

    If I find a solution, I will definitely be back here to let you know what it is.

    I have found a working solution for my own situation. You might want to give it a try.

    Add this to wp-config.php
    define(‘CONCATENATE_SCRIPTS’, false );
