    The new version is out.
Try it out, it’s much more usable than in the first release. There are many many new features.
WP2PDF is now Open Source Software and licensed under the GNU General Public License (GPL).
    New functions
    – Setup form is protected by username/password (no need for a .htaccess file anymore)
    – Graphics can be turned off (GIFs can be turned off individually to prevent incompatibilities with GD 1.6)
    – Table of contents can be generated (if bookmarks are turned on)
    – Security functions integrated (you can now disable text copying in the PDF, protect them with a password, disallow printing etc.)
    – GIFs/PNGs will automatically be converted to JPEG and integrated in the PDF (if graphics are turned on)
    – Hyperlinks can be turned off and hyperlink colors can be changed
    – Page header/footer can be integrated
    – Page number and total number of pages can be displayed in the footer
    – Single “title” page on the beginning on the PDF can be displayed
    – Text of the info bar can be easily changed (including variables)
    – Comments can be included
    – PDF file can be compressed with gzip and downloaded (rather than displayed via a plugin in the browser)
    – Support for “blockquote” integrated
    – Page background color can be changed
    – Watermark (image in the background of each page) can be integrated
    – Full support for curly quotes and various special HTML characters
    Changes/improvements of existing functions
-Info bar placement can be changed
    – Text colors can be changed.
    – Lots of colors. Everywhere.
    – “Do not display [Title/Info bar/Content/Date]” moved from the alignment setting to its own section
    – Overall improvement of the configuration.
    – Improved text rendering
    – All options are fully configurable
    Bugfixes
    – Fixed a big big text rendering bug (there were small indentations all over the text)
    – Various small bugfixes.

  • how I can use cp1251 in it?

Hi! Is there some improvement on the <more> tag issue?
Sorry for my impatience, but i want to use this on my site. Saludos!

Non-Western language support as well as the <more>-Function will be included in the next public release. However I don’t know yet when it will be finished. The new semester has started and I don’t have much time for WP2PDF at the moment.
It could propably take a couple of weeks until its finished.

for anyone that cares I added 6 x 9 as a size option. I could provide the updated pages for anyone that would like to have this form factor. (That is basic hard back novel size. I found it looks really good in those dimensions.)

    About the more-tag:
If anyone who is using that tag could send me a copy of his/hers index.php? That would be nice, because I would save me some time. I’ll probably release an update of the PR2 with this function added on sunday. Thanks!

Hey all, I wanted to chime in with two feature requests, when you get the time of course!
My first and biggest deals with tags. When I write a blog post I input all the tags, I don’t like letting the software do it for me. I also write my code the correct way, meaning as follows:

    Some text

While that is all fine and dandy in the browser, it looks as though the pdf conversion process is adding extra line breaks for the tags, so I am getting really wide spaced paragraphs. So changing the conversion to account for this would be great.
Secondly, I would really love to be able to change the order of the posts to ASC since I would like to use this to create a hard copy of my “journal”; which would be much better in that format.
    That is it for now.

I just send my index page to your mail. Saludos!

For anyone interested I have released a plugin for 1.2+ that gives your users easy access to some of the cooler features of this hack/plugin.
Currently WP2PDF interface gives your users the ability to choose a year, or month to convert to PDF. In the next version I hope to have by author going as well.
You can find the plugin here: https://chrisjdavis.org/hacks/wp-pdf-interface.phps
And you can find info on setting up the hack as always, over here: https://chrisjdavis.org/index/category/wp-hacks/
Let me know if you have any questions or comments.
