WP works but only when a filename in path is specified?

Hi all,

I have a strange problem I have never seen before.

This works: https://brightopen.org/pilots

and this works: https://brightopen.org/<any-page-or-post-name-here&gt;

But this DOESN’T work: https://brightopen.org

the above request lands at a “under development” page (I think the domain registrar, but possibly the host provider)

The domain and hosting are different companies, and I just setup WP on the new host…

Any help would be much appreciated!
