I’m new to the WordPress world and am enjoying the functionality that WordPress offers but I’ve run into a bit of a problem – My WordPress site is working great – I am able to get in and make any edits from the admin console, the site is online locally, I can even edit the site from other computers on my local network and everything loads just fine.

The problem I have is from external networks. The site does come up (VERY slowly & sometimes not at all), but it does not have any formatting – it’s like the stylesheets aren’t loading. Is there any firewall in Ubuntu Desktop that may be blocking the content from loading? Or am I missing something in the config?

Here is a temporary link to the WordPress blog – this is not a permanent location, I am hosting this from a linux box on my local network and will eventually be moving it to a hosted solution.

Forgot to add – WordPress 3.4.2 and Ubuntu Desktop 12.04.

Ok, I feel like a total idiot – I started thinking after I posted this message…When viewing the source, it is sticking my local IP address in for the links, which makes sense why it won’t load any of the stuff from an external network. I’m just not sure how to resolve this.

I’d still like to know how to make the links work internal/external, but this will be fine. I can do host file edits on my local network to make it work. Solved it myself.
