WP won’t allow me to add users in the admin area

  • I’ve been trying to add a user (an admin) to my wp blog.

    For some reason, after filling out the fields on the form and pressing “Add User”, the form clears itself and no new user is created.

    Can someone help me with this?

    I don’t know since I cannot reproduce the error.
    Which means you need to provide way more details than “I have the same problem” on a 4 months old topic.
    It is NEVER the same – you must have a totally different version. If you don’t, then upgrade.

    FYI: yes, the form clears itself but up in the users list the new user should appear.

    I have wp 233 and cannot add users as admin

    It says I do not have permission to do that

    I am having the same problem. I just started a blog for classroom use, being hosted by schol district. I want to add students as users. I am logged in as admin, from users, add users from community, I have added the student’s email address and and click add user. I get a yellow box at the top of the page that says”User not found. Please ask them to signup here first.” Where are they supposed to signup, there is no place that I can find. I would like to just be able to enter their names, but would be OK with having them signup and then oking it, but I need to know where they can do that.
